Melijah graduated as an Osteopath in 2002 with distinction from RMIT. Since then she has continued to study, diversifying her knowledge in Iridology/Sclerology, Health Coaching, and Iyengar Yoga.
Melijah was inspired to become an Osteopath at a young age, when her interest in health and healing led her to learn about the bodies amazing inherent nature to heal given the correct environment. She believes that osteopathic treatments play a significant role in assisting this healing process, and combined with many other positive factors such as knowing how to live a healthy lifestyle, each individual has the ability to evolve towards optimal health.
Melijah’s strengths are in her ability to treat a diverse range of patients from newborns and children through to the elderly, and her ability to use a broad range of techniques tailored to each individual’s needs. Melijah has a interest in Women's Health and has helped many women before, during, and after their pregnancies. She believes that body has the most amazing ability to reproduce, and Osteopathy can assist with this process - which may reduce many common symptoms experienced during pregnancy such as back pain, sciatica, breathlessness, indigestion, pins and needles and headaches.
In addition to working in other clinics around Melbourne and Phillip Island, she has loved working as an Osteopath for international surf events in the Philippines. When not working her other passions include yoga, surfing, open water swimming, fitness training, music, preparing wholesome wholefoods for friends and family, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and most of all, spending time with her two children.
