Kristine Miles

Senior Physiotherapist / Clinical Manager, Women's Health Physiotherapy, Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)

Kristine graduated as a Physiotherapist from LaTrobe University in 1996 and spent the first 12 years of her career working in private practice in Melbourne, and 3 years in the UK.

During this time, she was a trainer and Physiotherapist for an Australian Rules Football Club for 6 years, and worked hard consolidating her sports, spinal, post-operative rehabilitation, and Clinical Pilates experience.

In 2008, Kristine moved back to Phillip Island, having been to school here at Newhaven College. She continued working in private practice, before joining the team at Island Physiotherapy & Clinical Pilates in 2018 (Balance Health 2020).

Kristine’s special interest areas include management of complex spinal conditions, nutrition, and women’s health - including pregnancy, pelvic floor, breastfeeding and lactation. Kristine is a International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), has a Certificate IV in Breastfeeding Counselling, is certified in the McKenzie Method and DMA Clinical Pilates, and trained in musculoskeletal acupuncture. Kristine is also a best-selling author of three books, including The Green Smoothie Bible.

Kristine lives locally with her young family. She enjoys gardening, cooking, being part of the community, and loves people with a great sense of humour.
